Headcount is getting cheaper. Expertise isn’t.

📌 What Changed | Last 24 Hours

Tata Consultancy Services lands Porsche AG deal + acquires MHP.

Globant moves CRO Fernando Matzkin => COO.

Cyient launches “Nothing Less” positioning.

Deloitte creates inaugural Chief Products Officer role.

Happiest Minds Technologies partners with Oleria on identity governance.

💰 TCS | Don’t Just Win It. Buy the Capability.

Tata Consultancy Services and Porsche AG announced a five-year €1.25B strategic agreement.

At the same time, TCS will acquire Porsche’s management and IT consultancy MHP for €320M.

MHP brings roughly 4,500 people, deep automotive and industrial expertise, and relationships across hundreds of clients.

TCS didn’t simply buy more headcount.

It bought domain expertise, client access and credibility—while Porsche committed €1.25B of demand alongside it.

👔 Globant | CRO → COO

Globant appointed Fernando Matzkin to COO after 17 years with the firm, most recently as CRO.

His new remit combines operations, client delivery, customer success and commercial performance.

That’s worth watching.

When firms sell outcomes rather than hours, the wall between what gets sold and what gets delivered gets harder to maintain.

📈 Cyient | Differentiate the Business

Cyient launched its new positioning:

“Nothing Less.”

The company is repositioning itself around Lifecycle Engineering Services—following products and assets across design, build, operation and modernization rather than competing for isolated engineering projects.

CEO Krishna Bodanapu is putting outcomes at the center of the company’s next growth phase.

🧑‍💼 Executive Signal

Deloitte Tax named Chris Puglia its inaugural Chief Products Officer.

It’s a newly created role spanning product vision, development and commercialization of technology-enabled offerings.

Another leadership seat emerging as consulting firms blur the lines between services, software and products.

🤝 Partnership Signal

Happiest Minds Technologies + Oleria partnered around identity governance for employees, machines and increasingly AI agents.

As digital labor expands, securing who—or what—gets access becomes another source of consulting demand.

🧠 The Recruiting Guy Take

AI may reduce the value of generic capacity.

It doesn’t reduce the value of expertise, relationships and credibility.

TCS just put €320M behind the theory.

Cyient holds its Investor Day Tuesday.

❓ Question of the Day

If headcount is no longer the advantage, what talent are you willing to pay a premium for?
