🏛️ Public-sector modernization:
• IBM announced a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) contract to modernize electronic shelf label systems — including upgrading existing systems at 177 U.S. commissaries and installing new systems at 58 overseas locations in 12 countries.

In my 2/25 scan, the clearest disclosed “large deal” remains Coforge’s $158M, five-year UK contract. Other disclosed signals this week skew toward modernization, security, and platform execution rather than headline mega-deal announcements.

When the tape thins, I look for annuity-shaped contracts — defined scope, defined term(s), renewal runway(s) — This calls for sales rainmakers with the fortitude to land scope, expand into operate/security/platform layers, and convert modernization into long-cycle revenue. They must demonstrate this fortitude in constent work history despite market and leadership changes!
